I began reading the Akashic Records in 1996. This led me to do extensive research and training in spiritual healing and energy healing. I wanted to understand more of what I was experiencing personally, as well as what my clients were experiencing, through this incredible expansion of consciousness that comes from exploring the Akashic Records.
As I completed coursework for a BA in world religions and spirituality, I read Spiritual Emergency by psychiatrist Stan Grof and his wife and research partner, Christina Grof. In my internet search for this incredible team, the founders of Transpersonal Psychology and Holotropic Breathwork, I found the California Institute of Integral Studies, where Dr. Grof was teaching.
I earned a Master of Arts degree in Transformative Leadership from the California Institute of Integral Studies, with a focus on the “leader within.” I am currently finishing on my PhD dissertation on the life stories of a group of non-traditional healers, also at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
It is fascinating to work and study at the intersection of Spirituality, Consciousness Theories, Psychology, Social Science and New Science. This transdisciplinary approach to human experience, as we navigate the challenging times of 2012 and beyond, offers a new perspective to the roots of our current dilemmas, both individually and collectively, and hope for the future. Ervin Laszlo, PhD, author of Science and the Akashic Field, calls this the Akashic Paradigm. I love this.
